Satan has a very strong hold on the public today with movies and television. In the 50s, the 60s and even in the 80s, television shows like "I Love Lucy", The Andy Griffith Show", "The Dick Van Dike Show", "Gillian's Island" and "The Cosby Show" were clean, wholesome family entertainment, but times has changed. They have been replaced with shows like "How i Met Your Mother", "Grey's Anatomy", Married with Children", "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer"" and "Ghost Whisper". Movies are just fulled with sex, violence, nudity, vulgar language and the occult. The entertainment business says the public is demanding to see more of this kind of entertainment, but in realty, Satan is preparing all this for something much worse to come.

We need to return to the family values that God has set up for us to follow. This is why He gave us the bible and how to use it's many resources. The world is out of touch with realty and God is trying to remind us to spend more time with Him.There is wholesome, Christian family television entrainment today and it is not hard to find them. That is why we have programs like "Amazing Facts Presents", "Really Living", "It Is Written", "Faith For Today", "Exploring the Word" and many others. We need to resist the temptation of going to the movie theater or watch a television show that is not suitable for the entire family. When other people see a Christian go inside a movie theater, it really gives God a bad reputation and think they are NOT true Christians. Their guarding angel also stays outside, God is disappointed in us and that is when we need to ask for His everlasting forgiveness every day. We then need turn away from those evil things and turn to the things of God instead. Studies has shown children who spend at least 20 hours a day watching television shows become addicted and inactive. That time could be spent doing other things outside, like exercising. When a newborn baby sees the television picture, the young mind absorbs the flashing image on the screen and it is fascinated with it. Then it stays in the child's memory and they become addicted to it. Parents should keep their children away from the television set until the age of seven and then restrict their viewing habits until the age of accountability. This is usually between the age of twelve or fourteen. These days, parents have no regard to what their children watch on television and the children control the parents. Teenagers who play violent video games tend to grow up committing crimes. That was not part of God's original plan in raising a Christian family. The bible says "Train up a child in the way he should go, And he when he is old he will not depart from it". Proverbs 22:6 NKJV. We really need to unplug the television sets, the video game consoles, the portable DVD players and spend more time with Jesus.  

 Please, let's make a difference to turn away from the evil that is before us and turn to God's Holy law starting today.
